On Sunday, 23rd July, 2023, four Jesuits, namely Rev. Juvénal Masabo, SJ; Rev. Moïse Bahuwimbuye, SJ; Rev. Gratien Nshimiyimana, SJ; and Rev. Pascal Bihorubusa, SJ, belonging to the Rwanda-Burundi Region were ordained priests by the Archbishop of Bujumbura (Burundi), Mgr Gervais Banshimiyubusa. Religious, priests, families, friends and relatives of the ordinandi joyfully came to pray for and with them. It was a graced-filled moment for the Church in Burundi, especially for the Rwanda-Burundi Region; for the first time in its history, the Region was blessed with 4 new priests. The newly ordained priests were exhorted to be ministers and ambassadors of justice, peace and reconciliation. We congratulate the newly ordained priests and wish them well in their priestly ministry.
